Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for its facility in Ohio to set up, run, and troubleshoot MPL automated labeling and packing lines. The role involves verifying visual characteristics, scanning production information, and ensuring labels and route data align with specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for a 2-year technical degree, and must be able to work the 3rd shift (Sun-Thur, 11pm-7am).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Commitment to working safely and understanding all safety procedures.
• Ability to follow operating procedures, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and control plans.
• Ability to verify product routings, specifications, quantities, styles, labels, and production information.
• Ability to perform light machine maintenance and troubleshoot machine inaccuracies.
• Ability to complete production records and data entry.
• Ability to wear required PPE.
• Availability for 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11pm-7am.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, train, and troubleshoot MPL automated Calvary labeling and packing machines.
• Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics.
• Scan correct production information.
• Set up printers and verify labels, numbers, and product amounts against route card information.
• Perform light maintenance, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of machine inaccuracies.
• Gather and verify raw materials according to route cards.
• Follow standard operating procedures to complete orders.
• Maintain production for multiple lines while performing assigned duties.
• Complete production records and required data entry.
• Sustain 6S standards through housekeeping and standard work.
• Follow company safety procedures.
• Verify safety devices, machine guarding, and signage are present and functioning before releasing equipment for production.
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow the green insert control plan and ensure products meet routings, specifications, quantity, and style requirements.
• Meet daily departmental production goals.
• Communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisors, team members, and across shifts.
