Job Description

Plays a vital role in maintaining an accurate record of inventory in an automated facility. Assists in preventing, researching, and resolving inventory discrepancies, as well as analyzing data trends to identify areas for improvement and make corrective action suggestions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify and report safety concerns.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts and full physical inventories). Record results and discrepancies. Communicate findings to management or the customer.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies across multiple Warehouse Management Systems, including customer claims, cycle counts, inventory adjustments, label printing, handling damaged inventory, and disposal.
  • Update inventory records and discrepancies in the Warehouse Management System, including processing adjustments.
  • Assist with special projects and handle customer-specific requests.
  • Report operational errors impacting inventory performance.
  • Perform other inventory-related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years of automated inventory control and warehouse experience or equivalent training.
  • Preferred experience with multiple WMS systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to work autonomously as needed.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods with frequent interruptions.
  • Manual dexterity for typical office tasks.
  • Good hearing, vision, and speaking abilities.
  • May require travel and work in temperatures between 38°F and -20°F.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and use various electronic tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and respond to feedback.
