Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Maine seeks an Electromechanical Technician to install, align, maintain, and repair CNC equipment and automated production lines. The role includes wiring, programming basic machine functions, troubleshooting electronic controls and ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

The candidate should have extensive automated equipment maintenance experience, CNC repair capability, and knowledge of ladder logic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year Electronics degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in automated equipment maintenance.
• CNC repair experience required.
• Must understand ladder logic and digital logic for troubleshooting.
• Physical ability to lift 35 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct maintenance trades for repairs of the equipment.
• Wire new equipment and adjust control instruments.
• Program basic machine functions and inspect for conformance to standards.
• Troubleshoot and replace automated system controls to keep lines running.
