Job summary

W. W. Grainger is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Patterson, CA distribution center. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyors, shuttles, and related assets during the night shift, reporting to a Facilities Supervisor.

You will use CMMS to log activities, work with contractors, and maintain PIE fleet assets. The role requires 1+ years of maintenance experience and the ability to lift 50–75 lbs, with strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1+ years building and equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with Microsoft and CMMS programs.
• Lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety practices knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic concepts.
• Ability to read MEP drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and related assets.
• Respond to facility issues and conveyor jams.
• Complete building repairs including cranes, welders, presses, and other equipment.
• Enter daily maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Collaborate with contractors and Facilities staff.
• Operate all automated material handling and PIE fleet assets.
• Maintain PIE fleet and associate assets, including picking cars and batteries.
