Job summary

Immunocore is seeking an Executive Director, Clinical Development Physician (Autoimmune) to lead autoimmune programs from early stages through proof of concept. You will mentor a small team and partner with translational, regulatory, and clinical operations colleagues to advance internal assets.

The role requires an MD/PhD with autoimmune experience, strategic leadership, and strong expertise in trial design, biomarkers, and global regulatory strategy.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with autoimmune clinical development experience.
• Experience leading early-stage clinical programs from pre-clinical to proof-of-concept.
• Strong regulatory familiarity and strategic leadership.
• Proven mentorship and team-building in multi-site settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and oversight of autoimmune clinical studies from protocol to publication.
• Build and mentor a small in-house clinical team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across translational, regulatory, and clinical operations.
• Develop biomarker strategies and innovative trial designs.
• Engage with key opinion leaders and regulators to advance programs.
