Job summary

Confidential Company in Plano, TX seeks an Autodesk Inventor Drafter to prepare precise 3D mechanical designs and detailed drawings for DoD projects. You will produce complex parts lists and multi-view drawings used for on-site manufacturing and field installation.

Responsibilities include 3D part modeling, assembly modeling, and drafting with GD&T, with a focus on manufacturability and accuracy. Onsite work five days a week in the Plano area is required.

Qualifications

• Must have more than one year of Autodesk Inventor experience.
• Must be a US Citizen and capable of passing a DoD background check.
• Must have Autodesk Inventor experience (internships and school projects accepted) and be accustomed to developing 3D model files and complex drawings from data packages.

Confidential Department of Defense contractor that manufactures auto mechanical devices used by the military.

The Autodesk Inventor Drafter works closely with design originators preparing drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs that will be created in a manufacturing environment. A high degree of precision in development of drawings and parts lists that include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings is expected.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Autodesk Inventor to create and edit 3D mechanical design and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) documents that can be used to produce auto mechanical devices that will be manufactured and assembled onsite and installed out in the field.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have more than one year of recent Autodesk Inventor experience.
• Must be a US Citizen and capable of passing a Department of Defense (DOD) government Clearance Background Check so that you can work on military projects.
• Must have 1 year of Autodesk Inventor experience (combined internships and school projects accepted) and be accustomed to working utilizing established standards to develop and revise 3D model files and complex drawings and parts lists of electro-mechanical equipment from technical data packages, actual equipment, and/or sketches.
• Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week in Plano, Texas area (Richardson, Murphy, Wylie, Sachse, Rowlett, Garland, Addison, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, etc.).
• Good knowledge of drafting field required.
• Recent college grads with Autodesk Inventor (&CAD) experience are encouraged to apply
