Job summary

DIS-TRAN Steel in Pineville, LA, seeks a Design Automation Engineer to advance our Smart Engineering transformation by turning engineering knowledge into scalable digital workflows using Autodesk Inventor. You will develop configurable assemblies, templates, and automation rules, collaborate with Engineering, Operations, ERP/MES teams, and support iLogic and data quality in downstream systems.

This role builds on the Inventor Developer work, focusing on standards, metadata, and reusable content

Qualifications

• Engineering background in civil, mechanical, structural disciplines.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and complex parametric modeling.
• Ability to translate engineering requirements into model parameters and templates.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate Autodesk Inventor models for structures.
• Create configurable assemblies, templates, and automation rules.
• Support governance of standards catalogs and metadata for downstream systems.
