Deibel Laboratories in Manteca, CA is hiring a full-time Dishwasher/Media Tech to support our food safety testing mission. The role involves sterilization processes, equipment upkeep, and maintaining accurate logs in a lab environment.

The position requires physical strength, the ability to work in small, hot spaces, and mechanical aptitude. Prior construction or hands-on trades experience is encouraged; relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade training in biology/chemistry or trades preferred.
• Ability to push, pull, and maneuver up to 250 pounds.
• Comfortable in confined spaces and high-heat conditions.
• Must not be sensitive to strong odors associated with laboratory testing.
• Mechanical aptitude and/or construction experience.
• Previous laboratory or manufacturing experience (desired).
• Familiarity with GLP and food safety testing environments (desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain autoclaves for sterilization of glassware, waste, and laboratory equipment.
• Safely push, pull, and maneuver loads up to 250 pounds.
• Work effectively in limited space and high-heat areas during sterilization cycles.
• Maintain accurate logs, batch records, and inventory related to autoclave processes.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of autoclaves and related equipment.
• Apply construction or mechanical skills to support troubleshooting and upkeep.
• Follow all safety, biohazard, and chemical handling procedures.
• Support lab operations through routine cleaning, stocking, and equipment upkeep.
