Job summary

Deibel Labs in Niles, IL is hiring a full-time, entry-level Media Technician to support our food microbiology and chemistry testing labs. This 40-hour/week role starts at $17–$20 per hour, with a Fri–Tue schedule and 8am–5:30pm shifts, offering comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include washing dishware, assisting lab technicians, preparing broths and agars, and performing light janitorial duties in the lab and office. Training is provided to new hires.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 0-1 Years Work Experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
• Must be able to lift 10lbs repeatedly and up to 50lbs with both hands.
• Able to work the Friday–Tuesday schedule and in a lab setting.

Our lab location in Niles, IL is hiring a full-time, entry-level Media Tech (40 hours/week).

We offer a competitive salary based upon knowledge and experience. This position includes full health benefits for self and family (employer pays for 90% of employee premiums and 50% of dependents on our base plan). Deibel also offers a self-funded dental plan, vision plan, and 401K option.

Compensation: Starting hourly rates at $17 - $20 D.O.E.

Schedule: Friday - Tuesday from 8am - 5:30pm

The position requires the candidate to work washing laboratory dish wear and assist the Lab technicians with sample prep as well as other janitorial duties in the lab and office. Candidate will also assist in the media lab preparing broths and agars to meet the operational need of the lab. Candidate must be willing to work both independently and with the team. Candidate must have a can-do attitude!
