Job summary

Honda invites aspiring Service Technicians/Mechanics to join a Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship program. You will train across traditional, hybrid and electronic engines, performing diagnostics, testing, and inspections with a dedicated mentor.

Training is provided through a mix of virtual sessions and face-to-face weeks at the training centre, with travel to the Honda Institute Bracknell for required training. Costs are fully covered.

Qualifications

• Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working.
• Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined.
• Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service, and inspection.
• Maintenance of electronic systems including on-board entertainment systems.
• Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for the customers and centres records.
• Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment.
• Willingness to train at Honda Institute and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics to identify faults on vehicles.
• Test performance of parts and systems and verify repairs.
• Follow standardized checklists during inspections.
• Carry out comprehensive vehicle service and inspection.
• Assist with maintenance of electronic vehicle systems.
• Document work clearly for customers and records.
