Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science or related technical field is required.
  • No prior experience required; however, related document production experience preferred.
  • Familiar with discipline-based software (REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, etc.).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings.
  • Collaborate with design teams on multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Examine drawings for errors and use drawing production software to create construction documents.

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an AutoCAD Drafter to join our Power & Manufacturing – Electric Transmission Team at our Albany, NY; Atlanta, GA; Rochester, NY; Syracuse, NY office or working remotely.

This position offers fully remote capabilities; however, occasional on-site responsibilities may be required if you are located near a CHA office.

Responsibilities

The AutoCAD Drafter assists with the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings and documents. The professional in this role collaborates with design teams on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

At CHA, our AutoCAD Drafter attains knowledge of engineering discipline standards, codes, and systems through assisting with contract document preparation. This individual examines drawings for errors. The AutoCAD Drafter uses drawing production software (REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, etc.) to create construction documents.

Salary

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
