Job summary

Delaware Park Casino & Racing is seeking a CAD Drafter on-site in Delaware. The role involves taking measurements, creating and updating architectural drawings, and ensuring compliance with local and federal codes.

You will transpose and design floor plans, maintain CAD files, and support renovation projects. The candidate should have 2+ years of AutoCAD 2023 experience, strong knowledge of building methods and codes, and be able to work in varying weather, stand for long periods, and flexibly

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience with architectural drawing using AutoCAD version 2023.
• Knowledge of commercial building construction methods, floor plans and structural codes to obtain permits is essential.
• Field work experience collecting information for renovation design necessary.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position. American Sign Language is also an acceptable form of communication.
• Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/or execute written, verbal and/or demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
• Must be able to work in extremes of weather, on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding.
• Must be able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Taking accurate measurements of existing structures and developing as-built drawings.
• Performing all CAD duties including design, drawing, replication and storage of architectural drawings and blueprints.
• Transposing existing drawings and creating accurate drawings of existing structures.
• Referencing Local, State and Federal construction codes as applicable.
• Designing new floor plans and interpreting existing drawings.
• Promoting outstanding customer relations.
• Promoting honesty and trust amongst the team.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.
