Job summary

MacLean Power Systems is seeking an Auto Weld Operator 1 – 2720 to join our Trenton, TN team. The role focuses on welding metal parts, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring quality through inspection and documentation.

You will operate gas welders and torches and maintain compliance with 5S and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of welding experience, basic communication skills, and the ability to follow written and verbal directions.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and templates.
• Must pass required vision tests and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components and parts using gas welders and torches.

Auto Weld Operator 1 - 2720

Job Duties

• Weld metal components and parts using specialized equipment such as gas welders, gas torches and hand tools
• Use electrical currents to create heat and bond metals
• Plan work by interpreting blueprints, technical procedures and templates
• Observe tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications
• Move fixtures and equipment as required to accomplish various jobs
• Complete all documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
• 0 to 2 years of experience
• Ability to interpret work instructions
