Job summary

Pacific Rail Services is hiring an entry-level Railroad Auto Unloader at the Walkertown, NC terminal to unload new automobiles off railcars. No experience is required, and training is provided.

PRS Auto is hiring immediately for individuals to unload (drive) new automobiles off of Railcars working at the Norfolk Southern Walkertown, NC rail terminal. No experience is required in this entry‑level position, as we offer on‑the‑job training and will teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful on the job.

This is an entry‑level position with the opportunity for growth for individuals who are interested in a career in the railroad industry. We have several locations throughout the country and pride ourselves on promoting qualified individuals for future advancement.

Job Duties

Set up mechanical lifts that align with railcars and unload automobiles off of railcars. Applicants must currently live within a 45‑minute commute of Walkertown, NC; out‑of‑area candidates or those requiring relocation will not be considered. Typical work is first shift, but schedules vary and you must be flexible for start and finish times. Availability during weekends and holidays is required. Safety is our #1 goal.

Starting Rate

$17.00 – $18.00.

Requirements

Applicants for the Railroad Auto Unloader position must meet the general requirements for employment with the company, according to the company hiring process, which includes:

• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Pass a 7‑year background check and a drug test
• Be able to work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs above your head, and climb various heights – not afraid of heights
