CELLONE BAKERY INC in Pittsburgh is seeking a Bakery Truck Fleet Mechanic with diesel experience to service our bakery trucks and keep them running safely. You will diagnose, repair and maintain engines, electrical systems and components, and perform routine inspections to meet DOT standards.

Ideal candidates have truck fleet experience, a valid PA inspection license, and are able to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifikationen

• Combination of education and technical experience including prior diesel service and fleet experience.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Must be able to pass background and drug screen.
• Prior mechanic experience preferred.
• Inspection license useful but not required.

Aufgaben

• Repair and maintain bakery trucks.
• Inspect and test equipment at prescribed intervals of time and usage or upon malfunction or breakdown.
• Inspect, test, align lights and wheels; maintain electrical systems and controls.
• Balance wheels to minimize tire wear; rotate wheels at prescribed mileage intervals.
• Tune up engine to maintain combustion control standards.
• Adjust equipment to state DOT inspection and safety standards.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts.
• Fits and adjusts new or repaired parts.
• Use hoist wrenches, gauges, drills or grinders, or other specialized mechanic tools.
• Perform limited bodywork and repainting on vehicles after breakdown or accident.
• Oils and greases vehicles; changes filters.
• Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
• Maintain small parts storeroom (if required).
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Must have valid PA inspection license.

Description

Bakery Truck Fleet Mechanic
Looking for bakery truck fleet mechanic with prior diesel experience for immediate hire. Competitive wages and great benefits in a medium sized family business.

Applicants must:

• Have a valid drivers license
• Possess a combination of education and technical experience including prior diesel service and fleet experience (ASE certifications preferred)
• Be able to pass a background and criminal records check and a drug screen
• Prior mechanic experience is preferred
• Inspection license useful but not required

Job duties include:

• Repairs and maintains bakery trucks
• Inspects and tests equipment at prescribed intervals of time and usage or upon malfunction or breakdown.
• Inspects, tests, and aligns lights and wheels and maintains electrical systems and controls. Balances wheels to minimize wear on tires and rotates wheels at prescribed mileage intervals. Tunes up engine to maintain combustion control standards. Adjusts equipment to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• 8:00am-4:00pm
• Off every other weekend

Experience:

• Diesel Engine Repair: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical Knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
