Job summary

South Charlotte Nissan is seeking skilled Service Technicians/Mechanics of all levels for the night shift. You will diagnose, repair, and service fleet and used vehicles, including pre-owned inspections, using modern diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive service experience required.
• Night shifts available and required for some positions.
• ASE certification or equivalent experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• U.S. work authorization; no sponsorship needed; resident status required.
• Pre-employment background checks including MVR and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and heavy repairs on fleet and used vehicles.
• Inspect and recondition pre-owned vehicles for lot-readiness.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical, engine, and mechanical systems.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle needs and provide accurate estimates.
• Maintain detailed service records and parts used.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and heavy repairs on all makes, models, and commercial fleet vehicles
• Inspect, diagnose, and recondition pre-owned vehicles to prepare them for lot-readiness
• Utilize modern diagnostic tools to troubleshoot diverse electrical, engine, and mechanical systems across domestic and import brands
• Communicate with customers about their vehicle needs and provide accurate estimates
• Keep detailed records of services performed and parts used
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines

• Previous experience in an automotive service environment required
• Must be able to work nights
• Required: ASE certification or equivalent experience
• Preferred: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Professional communication and teamwork skills
• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Required: Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
