Job summary

CarMax West Point (Virginia) is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability. You will work with engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC in a climate-controlled facility alongside a skilled team.

We value hands-on experience across both domestic and foreign vehicles, strong attention to detail, and a valid driver’s license. Ongoing training and growth opportunities are available within CarMax’s large network.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• ASE Certifications as listed by state/local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with a team to resolve technical challenges quickly.
