CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, from engines to suspension. You’ll work in a climate-controlled, modern facility and contribute to safety and quality.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer trust, and ongoing training with advanced tools. We look for hands-on experience in engine, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC, plus a strong safety mindset and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing engines, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license is required where required by law.
• Maintain ASE certifications as specified (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax quality standards.
