Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and performance standards in a climate-controlled facility.

You'll work with a skilled team, gain hands-on experience on domestic and foreign vehicles, and contribute to customer confidence in the car buying process. A valid driver's license and ASE certifications help, and a hiring bonus is offered for new hires.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• ASE certifications in relevant systems (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2) where required.
