Job summary

Belle Tire is seeking an Automotive Technician Trainee for their Auto Tech Development Program based in Grand Blanc, Michigan. This entry-level role is designed to develop the next generation of Certified Automotive Technicians through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience. Trainees will work on real customer vehicles, learning vital skills across various vehicle systems in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate will be a current student or recent graduate of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program. Key responsibilities include assisting with vehicle diagnostics and repairs, maintaining a safe work environment, and completing training milestones.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• Completion of coursework in brakes and steering/suspension preferred.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit, or ability to obtain within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines for safe operation.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing necessary repairs.
• Learn and apply proper repair techniques across multiple vehicle systems.
