Job summary

Caliber Collision is hiring an Auto Shop Helper in Columbia to perform a variety of housekeeping and support tasks in the production area. You will sweep floors, empty waste cans, dispose of parts, assist with spray booth cleaning, and keep tools and equipment properly stored.

The role also involves maintaining the parking lots and grounds and performing minor maintenance when required. You will follow center procedures and Caliber SOPs to ensure repairs and operations occur efficiently and

Qualifications

• Ability to perform consistent physical activity including lifting over 50 lbs.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily housekeeping of the production area including sweeping floors and disposing of waste.
• Assist in cleaning spray booths and organize tools and equipment.
• Keep parking lots and grounds neat and orderly.
• Perform minor equipment and building maintenance as needed and follow SOPs.

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Auto Shop Helper to perform all-purpose duties, which may include, but not limited to: Maintaining the daily housekeeping of the production area including daily emptying of waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted parts, assist in cleaning of spray booths, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location, maintaining parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion and perform minor equipment and building maintenance/repairs when necessary. The Auto Shop Helper will also follow all guidelines in accordance with Caliber's Standard Operating Procedure and center procedures, which allows teammates to complete repairs in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber's insurance policy
• Nice to have, but not required: Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo-Tech certification

ABILITIES/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to do consistent physical activity - reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Be able to understand instructions - written and verbal
• Can prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
