Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services such as tire mounting, oil changes, inspections, and related tasks while delivering an excellent customer experience.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to safety. You must be willing to work days, nights, holidays and weekends, and complete a pre-employment background check.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Eager to learn and motivated to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Continuously learn new technical information in formal training sessions to stay up-to-date with automotive technology.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Install headlights and other bulbs.
