Job summary

Boyd’s Tire & Service is seeking a General Service Technician to perform non-technical service repairs and support ASE certification goals. You will work alongside ASE Certified Technicians, with training provided to advance to the next level in your career.

Compensation is $17–$22 per hour, with benefits including insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement. This role requires reliable performance in a fast-paced environment at multiple Columbus-area locations.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic individuals with a passion for cars.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections following all guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and showroom for a clean appearance.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns.
