Jiffy Lube International in Mineola, NY is seeking a General Service Technician to service guest vehicles and grow through our training program. You’ll start in an entry-level role with structured mentoring and a path to certification, while contributing to a clean, efficient service center and a positive guest experience.

Ideal candidates have customer-facing experience, are 18+, and ready to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (e.g. retail, food service, hospitality).
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Previous experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Effective communication to interact with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; dependable and a team player.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending/squatting.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays.
• Commitment to safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
• Provide clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
• Ensure that the service center is clean and presentable.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level automotive technicians.
• Check and communicate oil level to teammates.
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation.
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
• Complete vehicle inspections.
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter.
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed.
• Document all work performed on the repair order.
• Report any safety issues to management.
• Maintain adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform various manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
