Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a General Service Technician to perform oil changes, tire and wheel services, alignments, and related tasks. You will work alongside ASE-Certified Technicians and receive training to advance to the next level in your automotive career.

Compensation ranges from $15 to $18 per hour. Benefits include biweekly pay, tuition reimbursement up to $3,000 annually, paid vacation and sick time, 6 paid holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from residence or business using company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections following all guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop, service area, tires, showroom and exterior.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license

Availability to work five days incl. Saturdays
