Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking an Auto Press Operator I to set up, adjust and operate coil fed presses to produce Quality parts in a safe, efficient manner at the Sedalia site.

You will apply lean manufacturing methods, perform routine maintenance, read drawings via SAP, use precision measuring tools, and inspect work to meet department standards while supporting teammates and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience using hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate coil fed presses.
• Maintain safety and report hazards.
• Support Lean initiatives (5S, TPM) to improve equipment efficiency.
• Set up dies and gauges and adjust ram stroke.
• Read prints and routings via SAP; use drawings/blueprints and precision measuring tools.
• Inspect units for conformance to quality standards.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Work overtime as required.
