Genuine Parts Company Akron store is seeking an experienced Store Manager to drive sales, protect assets and deliver exceptional customer service. You will hire, coach and develop staff, enforce standards, and partner with the district office on procurement and pricing.

The role requires hands-on leadership, daily monitoring of sales and inventory, ensuring safety, training on HazMat, and maintaining a clean, organized space.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school or college degree a plus.
• Leadership experience in automotive after-market service industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of the store services organization is a plus.
• Strong character and fair treatment of employees and customers.
• Ability to lead a high-performance team through customer focus and open communication.
• Self-motivation to achieve company goals and willingness to coach and provide feedback.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitors store sales performance daily, weekly, monthly and YTD.
• Identifies problems and solves them effectively.
• Develops good customer relations and maintains high service levels.
• Responds quickly to customer sales/service questions.
• Supervises and coaches store employees.
• Monitors and acknowledges performance of staff.
• Ensures procedures minimize inventory shrinkage.
• Ensures merchandise is received promptly and stored properly.
• Maintains a safe work environment and completes HazMat training timely.
• Follows company policies and procurement controls.
• Builds relationships with vendors and negotiates pricing, inventory and service.
