Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business and meet sales goals. You will assist customers in-store and by phone, perform DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs, and maintain store inventory and standards.

The role requires basic automotive knowledge, friendly communication, and the ability to work some evenings and weekends. Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately for transactions and inventory calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers in-store and via phone.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store hit overall targets.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards and handle inventory tasks.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed and keep the area clean.
