Position Summary

The Auto Parts Production Technician is responsible for processing incoming vehicles, preparing them for yard placement, and performing dismantling procedures according to company and environmental standards. This role requires consistent attendance, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an outdoor, fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks related to vehicle intake and preparation
• Remove designated components and fluids following safety and environmental guidelines
• Sort recyclable materials and dispose of non-usable items appropriately
• Identify and prepare high quality tires and wheel sets for retail
• Mark vehicles accurately after fluids, parts, and materials have been removed
• Prepare yard rows and safely set vehicles for customer access
• Operate forklifts to position vehicles as needed
• Remove identified parts, cores, metals, and materials
• Maintain tools and equipment; report damaged or missing items
• Metal recycling and sorting

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to use dismantling tools and equipment (hand tools, pneumatic tools, fluid evacuation machines)
• Experience in automotive production, dismantling, or yard operations preferred
• Forklift experience preferred (training available)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Consistent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Spanish bilingual skills a plus
