Job summary

Prefix Corporation in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Paint Finisher to assist in finishing parts after painting. You will demask, inspect for damage, and apply finishes per work instructions, including wax, compound, or polish.

You will polish surfaces, maintain the spray booth, and position articles in jigs or on ladders as needed, reporting to the Paint Manager and supporting daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on paint and body repair experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Trade school certificate from an accredited program preferred.
• Self-starter with budgeting time and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Demask finished parts and inspect for damage.
• Finish painted parts using products specified in work instructions (wax, compound, polish).
• Finish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax or similar.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Maintains cleanliness of spray booth.
• Position articles in jigs or erect ladders or scaffolding.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Paint Manager.
