Role Overview

We are looking for a packaging machine operator to join our team in St. Louis, MO. In this position, you will be responsible for operating and adjusting machinery, as well as inspecting and releasing completed products. This is a 12-hour shift.

Qualifications
Essential Duties
  1. Operate and adjust different types of automated packaging equipment as required.
  2. Audit production quality through in-process inspections and visual observations.
  3. Complete all production, quality inspection, and OEE paperwork properly.
  4. Maintain high quality standards in compliance with company quality system, FDA, and ISO regulations.
  5. Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
  6. Use inventory management system to locate materials.
  7. Maintain inventory lot tracking and operate in a FIFO manner.
  8. Implement lean manufacturing initiatives, including the Kanban system.
  9. Participate in continuous improvement processes.
  10. Follow safety and housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Training and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-2 years of machine operation experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery operation.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
  • Adaptability and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to stand for 12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Consistent attendance is essential.
