CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to CarMax quality standards. You’ll work within a climate-controlled facility and use advanced tools to restore confidence for customers.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles while collaborating with a skilled team. The role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and ongoing training to help you grow in your automotive career.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Strong multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license. ASE certifications as required by state/local law (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2).
