Job description

Two full-time positions are available with the General Services Department, Fleet Services - Stores Division, located at 5300 Municipal Ave.

Salary Range: $16.12-$24.58/hour

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

1. Perform manual work learning semi-skilled equipment maintenance and repair tasks of a modestly demanding nature.
2. Perform light automotive/equipment repair tasks which do not require previous training or experience.
3. Work usually is performed under the direction of a higher-grade employee, but constant supervision is not necessary for familiar tasks once learned.
4. Work is reviewed during progress and upon completion for conformance with divisional standards.

Qualifications

REQUIRES: Ability to speak, read, and write English. Preference given to those with documented auto repair experience.
