Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring an Auto Mechanic for direct hire in West Monroe, LA. The role involves diagnosing engine and electrical issues, performing maintenance, and delivering quality repairs to ensure vehicle reliability.

The position offers a $25.00 - $35.00 per hour pay rate with a Monday-Saturday schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and opportunities for career growth through our partner company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on automotive mechanic/technician experience.
• ASE Certification or vocational certificate or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot engine and mechanical/electrical issues to diagnose problems.
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
• Perform routine maintenance (fluids, lubrication, etc.) to improve vehicle functionality.
• Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on proper vehicle use.
• Repair or replace broken parts and fix issues (e.g., leaks).
• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.

• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven experience as an automotive mechanic/technician or related role
• ASE Certification, or a certificate from a vocational school, or completion of an apprenticeship, is a plus
