Job summary

NEOTech is seeking a wire bond operator in Chatsworth, CA to run automatic and manual wire bond equipment in a clean-room environment. The role requires visual acuity, ability to handle fine tools, and adherence to ESD and QA procedures.

Responsibilities include reading assembly instructions, setting up equipment, and performing quality inspections. Candidates should be able to work collaboratively in a production setting with minimal experience required.

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions.
  • Set up and run automatic and manual wire bond equipment.
  • Fine-tune machine programs using computers.
  • Perform tests for ESD, wire bond and ribbon bond requirements.
  • Use precision tools (tweezers, knives, probes, calipers, scales).
  • Inspect devices for defects per drawings and specs; ensure conformance.

Job Details: Job Location: Chatsworth 0NK55 - Chatsworth, CA 91311, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 Hourly, Job Shift: 1st, Job Category: Manufacturing, Summary:

Operation of automatic and/or manual wire bond equipment in a clean-room environment, to manufacture high-reliability microelectronic devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.
  • Set up and run automatic and manual wire bond equipment
  • Ability to handle computers in order to fine tune machine programs.
  • Written tests for ESD + wirebond and ribbon bond requirements.
  • Use tools such as fine tipped tweezers, x-acto knives, vacuum pencils, dental probes, calipers, scales.
  • Knowledge of periodic machines certification for bond strengths.
  • Inspect and know the difference between an acceptable epoxy placement, die attach assembly, sub attached assembly and wire bond and ribbon bonds on a microelectronic device, in conformance with work instructions, drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect - to the drawings/specs and procedures – the devices for defects before starting the assembly and after finishing his/her part of the assembly.
  • Adhere to all ESD and other handling requirements.
  • Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan.
  • Follow company 6S and continuous improvement (kaizen) objectives.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications: Job Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities:
  • Good vision (with correction, if needed) and the ability to work with fine tools under a microscope.
  • Ability to work in a production environment wearing a smock, hairnet, face mask, and gloves, as required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and be a good team member.
  • Sense of urgency, successful in meeting company quality and production objectives
  • Ability to support a minimum of 2 customer products while maintaining quality and production standard requirements.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with a minimum low-level complexity.
  • Ability to follow established procedures on routine work
  • Typically requires little to no experience
Experience/Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Experience using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) preferred
  • Experience working for an ISO9000 or AS9100 accredited organization preferred.
  • Experience in operating manufacturing equipment preferred
