Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC is seeking a candidate to set up and operate Automatic Machining Centers on the 2nd shift. You will manage CNC and secondary equipment, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

Responsibilities include learning and applying precision processes, assisting and mentoring fellow operators, and maintaining smooth workflow to satisfy internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved training program for setting up and operating all equipment in section.
• Strong mechanical ability required.
• Trade school graduate or additional trade training beneficial.
• Familiarity with CNC programmed machinery and tooling to maintain close tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a wide range of metal removal processes and related operations.
• Measure quality parameters of chain components and determine corrective actions.
• Retrieve raw material and transfer finished components to subsequent processes to ensure continuous operation.
• Assist, train and develop operators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description ? other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.

Set up and operate a wide range of metal removal processes and other operations associated to ensure that all equipment is maintained and run to the high levels of efficiency and quality stipulated by U.S. Tsubaki standards. Primarily responsible for set-up and operation of CNC, saw-cut/chamfer, Browne and Sharpe, bar loaders, bench grinders, surface grinders, chip and oil extractor and any tooling required to maintain close tolerances and work specifications. Able to measure all quality parameters of chain components and determine corrective action where appropriate to the processes concerned. Retrieve raw material and transfer finished components to subsequent processes to ensure continuous operation of equipment. Assist, train and develop operators.

Requirements

Must have successfully completed an approved training program as to setting up and operating all equipment in section. Strong mechanical ability a must. Trade school graduate or any additional training in the trades most beneficial. Requires sufficient knowledge of CNC programmed machinery, Saw Cut and Chamfer machines, Screw machines, and tooling required, to maintain close tolerances and work specifications. Experience in setting up and maintaining other types of complex mechanical equipment is essential. Self-motivated to take ownership of work schedule and quality. Continuous improvement: Willing to accept change to support being a Fast ? Flexible - Efficient section. Team player that will work with other team members in the section to keep the process moving and improving. Work closely with other team members both inside and outside the section in order to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers. Make decisions in order to perform a variety of tasks having timely constraints. Follow direction / instruction of group leader or supervisor. Capable of handling heavy weights.
