If so, consider joining Safelite as an Auto Glass Technician Trainee, the first step toward becoming a certified auto glass technician on a nationally recognized team. We will train you to install and repair auto glass, recalibrate safety systems, and deliver memorable service—all while paying you to learn!

This role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions and hands-on tasks. It’s an excellent opportunity to start a new career with our 3-month paid training program. After training, your pay will be reviewed every six months based on performance.

As a Technician Trainee, you will:

  • Be paid to learn through hands-on and classroom training, including installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrating safety systems, and offering additional services.
  • Study and pass tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency and a positive attitude.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and tools used during work.

What you’ll get:

  • Starting pay at $25.75/hour, increasing to $32.00/hour after training and certification.
  • Earn $5 for each set of wiper blades added for customer safety.
  • Potential for promotion within the first year, with pay increasing to $37.25/hour as a Senior Tech and $44.75/hour as a Master Tech, based on performance.
  • A benefits package valued at over $10,000, including 401(k) with matching, medical plans, paid time off, and more.
  • Opportunity to buy or sell additional PTO, up to 16 hours.
  • Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement.
  • Paid training, tools, and resources needed for success.

What you’ll need:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work scheduled days and times
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and write
