Job summary

NSG Group is hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Shelbyville, IN facility, overseeing an evening shift with a 2/2/3 rotating schedule. The role requires regular floor presence across all shifts, with potential weekend/holiday coverage to support a 24/7 operation.

The supervisor will lead a unionized team of 15–25, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement using standard procedures and Kronos for timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example.
• Ensure product quality meets internal and external specifications.
• Maintain and operate equipment following procedures and best practices as defined in the control plan.
• Conduct process and product audits according to the work instructions.
• Lead change-over following proper set-up procedure according to work instructions.
• Turn around any set asides and hold activity in a timely manner.
• Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to the line leader.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving of manufacturing problems in the operations.
• Provide training and guidance/direction to team members according to procedures and best practices to achieve short and long-term goals.
• Coordinate 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.
