Pilkington North America Inc. in Shelbyville, IN is seeking a Manufacturing/Production Manager for Auto Glass. This full-time, on-site role leads Fabrication operations on a 24/7 schedule with cross-shift responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will manage a team and oversee KPIs, safety training, and quality standards while driving continuous improvement in a high-temperature, industrial glass environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/University degree in business or technically related field.
• Proven ability to adapt communication style to interact with diverse groups.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience successfully managing people in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing outsourced or contract manufacturing relationships, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and execute all Fabrication operations.
• Develop, track, and maintain Fabrication performance metrics (KPIs).
• Ensure the safety of all assigned employees through proper training and strict adherence to federal, state, and company safety regulations.
• Maintain the highest housekeeping standards throughout the Fabrication area.
• Ensure product quality meets or exceeds all internal and external customer specifications.
• Ensure all production employees are trained in workforce standardization processes and fully understand job expectations.
• Ensure all production standards and targets for throughput, downtime, yield and scrap reduction meet or exceed budgeted levels.
