Join Safelite as an Auto Glass Technician Trainee — the first step to becoming a certified auto glass technician on a nationally recognized team! We’ll train you to install and repair auto glass, recalibrate safety systems, and provide memorable service. Plus, you get paid to learn!

This isn’t a typical desk job! You’ll be outdoors, working hands-on in various weather conditions.

Start your new career with our 3-month paid training program. Afterward, your pay is reviewed every six months based on performance!

As a Technician Trainee, you will:

  • Be paid to learn through hands-on and classroom training, including:
  • Installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrating automotive safety systems
  • Providing additional services & products
  • Pass testing to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency and following techniques
  • Operate a company vehicle and tools safely

What you’ll get:

  • Starting pay at $22.00/hour, increasing to $24.62/hour after training and certification
  • Earn $5 per set of wiper blades added for safety
  • Potential promotion within the first year, earning up to $29.25/hour as a Senior Tech and $31.50/hour as a Master Tech, based on performance
  • A benefits package valued over $10k, including 401(k) with match, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days
  • Option to buy or sell up to 16 hours of PTO
  • Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement
  • Paid training with all necessary tools and resources

What you’ll need:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Flexible schedule with varied start/end times
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred; ability to read & write
