This is the first step toward becoming a certified auto glass technician on a nationally recognized team. We will train you to install and repair auto glass, recalibrate car safety systems, and deliver memorable service—all while paying you to learn!

This role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, working with your hands in a changing environment.

Start your new career with our 3-month paid training program. After training, your pay is reviewed every six months based on performance.

As an Auto Glass Technician Trainee, you will:
  • Be paid to learn through hands-on and classroom training, including:
  • Installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrating automotive safety systems
  • Providing additional services and products
  • Study and pass tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency and a positive attitude
  • Safely operate a company vehicle and tools used during work
What you’ll get:
  • Starting pay of $22.75/hour, increasing to $24.00/hour after training and certification
  • Earn $5 per set of wiper blades added for customer safety
  • Opportunities for promotion within your first year, earning up to $28.19/hour as a Senior Tech and $30.16/hour as a Master Tech, based on performance
  • A benefits package valued at over $10,000, including 401(k) with company match, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days
  • Option to buy additional PTO or sell unused time up to 16 hours
  • Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement
  • Paid training with all necessary tools and resources
What you’ll need:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate customer needs
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred; ability to read and write
