Job summary

Activar, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a skilled operator to set up and run CNC auto forming equipment, aiming to meet quoted rates and high quality standards. You will inspect finished work, read blueprints, and maintain test equipment to ensure production efficiency.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to work with hazardous materials, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided to understand spring and wire form designs and ISO procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality procedures.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work with hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC auto forming equipment to specification.
  • Maintain high production quality and inspect work for conformance to specs.
  • Maintain knowledge of test equipment and ensure safe operation.
  • Obtain materials/tools and complete documentation as needed.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report required repairs.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area and work collaboratively with team.

Job description

  • Set-up and operate all CNC auto forming equipment to specification and with the capability of meeting quoted rates.
  • Operate equipment to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.
  • Maintain full knowledge of test equipment.
  • Inspect work for conformance to job specifications.
  • Obtain necessary materials and tools required to achieve expected run rates.
  • Complete documentation as needed.
  • Perform machine maintenance.
  • Ensure equipment is in satisfactory condition and communicate when repairs are needed.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
  • Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
  • Knowledge of quality system and ISO procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:

  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
