Job summary

Burt Brothers seeks a dependable Mechanic to diagnose and repair brake systems, suspensions, steering, and related components in a busy shop. You will also carry out alignments, tire service, and preventative maintenance to keep guests safely on the road.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of professional experience, hold a valid driver's license, and are motivated to advance into diagnostics and supervisory roles, with weekend availability to meet peak demand.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional mechanical experience.
• Skilled in brakes, suspension, steering, and alignments.
• Valid driver's license, clean record, ability to lift 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform brake jobs (disc/drum, lathe work).
• Handle suspension repairs (struts, shocks, control arms).
• Perform alignments and steering system repairs.
• Replace under-hood components (water pumps, alternators, radiators, belts, hoses).
• Mount, dismount, and balance tires; perform oil changes and preventative maintenance.
• Test and install batteries.
• Keep shop organized, stocked, and safe.
