Job summary

Lynch Family Companies is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul complex vehicle systems. The role includes test drives to verify performance, inspecting brakes, engines, transmissions, exhausts, and performing preventative maintenance.

Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude and be able to work as part of a team in a busy shop. The job requires owning tools, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate farm equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform major and technically difficult diagnostics, repairs and overhauls.
• Verify vehicle performance by test drives and systems troubleshooting.
• Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Address oil, brakes, lamps, tires, engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist as needed.

Job description

Responsible for performing major and technically difficult diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls/rebuilds ensuring quality and customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Able to work holidays as needed
• Advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
  • Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems, hydraulics, troubleshoot electrical problems, identify and determine parts required for repair
• Complete vehicle inspection
• Preventative Maintenance Services
  • Oil-lube-filter, flat repairs, headlamps/wiper blades, wheel balancing, tire rotation, brakes and rotors, engines and transmissions, exhaust systems, heating and cooling, electrical
  • Specialize in repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmissions, and differentials, to include replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, and fuel system components
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition
• Knowledge of air brakes
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned by Supervisor/Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a valid driver’s license to be covered under company insurance
• Own tools
• Ability to maintain a culture committed to a teamwork, support, quality, and dedication
• Mechanical aptitude
• Able to operate general farm equipment
• Basic Computer knowledge to complete electronic documentation
• Understanding of how to complete general building maintenance
