Job summary

Jim Shorkey Family Auto Group is seeking an experienced Auto Detailer to join our team. If you have a passion for making cars shine, you should apply. The role requires at least 1 year of dealership detailing experience and a strong eye for detail.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with no weekends or nights. Responsibilities include exterior and interior detailing, prep work, and using steam extractors and buffers to achieve showroom-quality results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience detailing cars at a dealership.
• Proven ability to perform both exterior and interior detailing to a high standard.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean interiors, including carpets, upholstery and dashboards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Responsabilidades

• Realizar trabajos de estética automotriz (detailing) de alta calidad, tanto en el interior como en el exterior de diversos vehículos.
• Limpiar, pulir y reacondicionar el interior y el exterior de vehículos usados.
• Realizar tareas de preparación en cada vehículo.
• Utilizar equipos de extracción a vapor para la limpieza de interiores.
• Manejar máquinas pulidoras para el tratamiento de la carrocería.
• Aplicar la técnica de <> (clay bar) cuando sea necesario.
• Realizar lijado al agua (wet sanding) donde se requiera, incluyendo los faros.
• Efectuar pequeños retoques de pintura a mano.
• Mantener limpia el área de trabajo, así como todas las herramientas y equipos.
• Lavar, secar y encerar vehículos para lograr un acabado digno de sala de exhibición.
• Aplicar productos de pulido y protección para restaurar el brillo y cuidar la pintura.
• Realizar una limpieza profunda de interiores, incluyendo alfombras, tapicería y tableros.
• Mantener el espacio de trabajo limpio y organizado.

Horario laboral

• Lunes a viernes, de 8:00 a. m. a 5:00 p. m.
• Sin fines de semana.
• Sin turnos nocturnos.
