Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to support our collision and glass services by cleaning customer vehicles before delivery and maintaining the cleanliness of shop and office facilities. The role emphasizes attention to detail and reliability to ensure a top-notch customer experience.

You will pre-wash vehicles prior to repairs, perform exterior and interior cleanups after repairs, and help transport vehicles to sublet locations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and multitasking in fast-paced environment.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily housekeeping of office and production areas.
• Pre-washes and post-repair cleaning of customer vehicles.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
• Maintain parking lots, grounds, and interior/exterior cleanliness.
• Ensure WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan is executed consistently.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education And/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail
