Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to maintain vehicle cleanliness before delivery and to uphold shop and office appearance. You will support the WOW plan, perform daily cleaning tasks, and assist with vehicle transport to sublet locations. A high school diploma or GED, attention to detail, and a valid driver's license are required.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and willingness to learn in a busy collision and glass services environment. Physical labor is involved.

Responsibilities

• Maintain WOW plan execution and uphold quality standards.
• Keep interior office spaces clean and organized daily.
• Prepare vehicles for delivery through pre-wash and post-repair cleanup.
• Handle parking lots and grounds maintenance to keep a neat appearance.
• Assist in transporting vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education And/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail
