Gerber Collision & Glass, part of The Boyd Group, seeks a Porter to support the shop by cleaning customer vehicles before delivery and keeping the facilities tidy. You will help maintain production cleanliness and assist with prep tasks.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic automotive exposure, and a valid driver's license. This role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Clear vision required to inspect vehicles.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of office interior: trash, floors, and countertops.
• Keep production area tidy, waste disposal, tools, and equipment organized.
• Care for parking lots and grounds; shovel sidewalks when needed.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs start.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles after repairs.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details

$16 - $20 hourly
