GEICO in Berkeley, CA is seeking a FieldAuto Damage Trainee to support vehicle damage assessments, estimate repairs, and coordinate with body shops and rental companies in the Berkeley area. This is a non-remote, on-site role with hands-on training and a strong emphasis on customer service.

You will interact with customers, review contracts, and write estimates while pursuing licensing and continuing education.

• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.

As a FieldAuto Damage Trainee,you’llprovide reassurance and solutions that make a difference in our customers’ lives when they need us the most after an accident. You will inspect and assess vehicle damage, estimate vehicle repaircosts, negotiateequitablesettlements, and partner with body shops, rentalcompanies, and parts providers.

• Experience & Qualifications:
  • Customer-facing experience preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and measurable goals preferred.
  • Active Adjusters license preferred (training and exam fees provided).
  • High School Diploma or GEDrequired; College degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license that meetscompanyunderwriting guidelines required.

  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask across platforms.

Annual Salary

$32.05 - $50.36

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
