Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to guide repairs from start to finish, manage your own claim inventory and negotiate with body shops while assessing liability. This field role includes a company car; occasional office visits may be required.

Must reside within 40 miles of Kennewick, WA and demonstrate leadership, conflict management and strong customer service. Qualifications: 4+ years in relevant work (or 2–3 years with an associate/bachelor’s degree) and 1 year

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in relevant work with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• OR Associate's degree with 3 years of relevant work including 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• OR Bachelor's degree with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document claim information and make decisions per standards and local laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine validity of supplement requests.
